taylor-legacy-514ce-grand-auditorium-acoustic-electric-guitar-cedar-mahogany
Taylor Legacy 514ce Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar – Cedar/Mahogany

The Legacy 514ce goes back to where the Grand Auditorium began. Built as part of Taylor's 50th anniversary, it uses the X-bracing Bob Taylor designed for the very first Grand Auditorium models in 1994, paired with a tonewood combination you won't find in Taylor's standard line: a Western Red cedar top over mahogany back and sides. Cedar brings warmth and a soft, responsive feel under lighter playing, while mahogany adds a punchy, woody midrange, making it a natural fit for fingerstyle players and gentle strummers. Taylor's slim, easy-playing neck keeps it comfortable, and an LR Baggs Element VTC pickup handles plugged-in duties.

Not to be confused with the standard 514ce, the Legacy model features original-style X-bracing, LR Baggs electronics, gold tuners and a deluxe hardshell case. Legacy models are built as shown and cannot be modified.

Specifications

Body Shape: Grand Auditorium with Venetian cutaway

Top: Western Red Cedar

Back & Sides: Neo-Tropical Mahogany

Bracing: X-Bracing

Neck: Neo-Tropical Mahogany, satin finish

Fretboard & Bridge: West African Crelicam Ebony

Inlays: Mother-of-pearl Small Diamonds

Rosette: Green abalone, 3-ring

Binding & Pickguard: Faux tortoiseshell

Scale Length: 25-1/2"

Nut Width: 1-3/4"

Nut & Saddle: TUSQ nut, Micarta saddle

Tuners: Taylor Gold

Electronics: LR Baggs Element VTC

Strings: D'Addario XS Phosphor Bronze Light (.012–.053)

Finish: Gloss body, satin neck

Includes: Deluxe hardshell case

Orientation: Right-handed only

Available exclusively in Wales from A Strings – Wales' only authorised Taylor dealer.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0432/6024/8218/files/Taylor-514ce-Legacy-1204194123-FrontLeft-2024_png.webp?v=1793628228
https://astrings.co.uk/fr/products/taylor-legacy-514ce-grand-auditorium-acoustic-electric-guitar-cedar-mahogany
