The Move

We're MOVING!

Yep, after nearly 12 wonderful years at 66 Broadway, the time has come for us to relocate.

Over the last few years, thanks to your support we've increased our stock offering to include far more brands and product categories. We've now reached the point where we've exceeded the capacity of our current premises, and it's affecting the day-to-day running of A Strings. Parking has also become an issue, delivery drivers are having to double park and thanks to our weather being mainly bwrw glaw, you - our beautiful customers - are often damp by the time you've reached the shop.

We've found a new home for A Strings, and it is beautiful.

We're not revealing the location just yet as we're still in the acquisition phase and we absolutely don't want to tempt fate.

If everything goes according to plan, what we CAN say is:

  • It's not too far away from where we are currently
  • We will still be very much accessible by public transport
  • There is dedicated customer parking (YES!!!)
  • We will have considerably more room
  • We will be in and trading by mid-Summer 2025
  • I WILL go grey by the end of this year

It is important that we let you all know that this is (hopefully) happening as 'For Lease' signs will appear on the front of the shop within the next few weeks. We want you all to know that this move is of our own motivation.

Once everything is signed and sealed, YOU will be the very first to know. We will give you regular updates on the usual social channels. In particular, keep an eye out for the weekly 'Fear's Friday Update' on Facebook at 5pm and the 'Week at A Strings' series on all the channels, for progress updates, announcements, etc.

Once we're in and settled, naturally there will be an opening-party. More of that in due course...

This is a huge leap of faith for us, but it is driven by us wanting A Strings to be the very best version of what it can be, for you. So we'll take you on the journey with us, share with you the progress as it's happening, ask for your advice (fully expecting Boaty McBoatface-esque answers) and of course invite you to come in and say goodbye to Broadway, and hello to...

More on that in a couple of months.

Thank you, as ever.

Andrew.
