This model was a re-order for Fender Flagship Tokyo, based on a Stratocaster that was particularly popular among the models exhibited at a selection event held for certified custom shop dealers around the world.

The carefully selected wood is managed by the staff of the Custom Shop before it is manufactured. Each manufacturing process is carefully completed by skilled craftsmen in each department, and the characteristic of Custom Shop products is that they follow the manufacturing methods as faithfully as possible to those used when Fender was founded. In addition, the pickups installed in this instrument are hand-wound one by one by craftsmen who specialise in making pickups, just like vintage Fenders.

Another feature of custom shop products is the processing technique called Relic, which gives a vintage look to a brand new instrument. This Telecaster is the most typical Relic that Fender Custom Shop has cultivated for nearly 30 years. The body colour is Sherwood Green Metallic, which gives it the appearance of a long-standing instrument .
