The Taylor Gold Label 512e is part of Taylor's prestigious Gold Label Collection – a series of guitars that draws on vintage-inspired designs and premium materials to create instruments of exceptional character. The Grand Concert body is paired with a solid tropical mahogany back and sides and a torrefied Sitka spruce top that has been specially roasted to simulate decades of natural ageing. The result is a guitar with a warm, woody, focused midrange voice and a played-in sweetness that many spruce-topped guitars take years to develop. Fanned V-Class bracing and a long-tenon neck joint maximise resonance, sustain and intonation across the entire neck. The ES2 electronics capture every nuance with precision.
