The Legacy 914ce is the newest addition to Taylor's Legacy Collection, which draws on classic Bob Taylor designs and key moments in Taylor's history. It recreates the Indian rosewood and Engelmann spruce pairing that was the foundation of Taylor's 900 Series for many years. Engelmann spruce brings a mature, slightly richer midrange than Sitka, while Indian rosewood adds low-end warmth, treble sparkle and rich, blooming overtones.
Like the other Legacy models, the 914ce has traditional X-bracing with some modern refinements, including Taylor's modern neck profile for a responsive, comfortable feel. Its Cindy inlays are named after Bob Taylor's wife, and it has green abalone top purfling and rosette and gold hardware. A Venetian cutaway gives access to the upper frets. Legacy models are built as shown and cannot be modified.
