The 2008 Fender American Deluxe Telecaster is a premium, USA-made instrument that blends classic Telecaster aesthetics with high-performance modern appointments. It features an alder (or optional ash) body with a contoured heel for easy upper-fret access, a compound radius maple neck (9.5" to 14"), and Samarium Cobalt Noiseless (SCN) pickups.

• Pickups: Two Samarium Cobalt Noiseless (SCN) single-coil Tele pickups for hum-free performance.
• Electronics: Standard 3-way switching alongside the discreet S-1 switch (built into the volume knob) which puts the pickups in series to create a "humbucker-ish" sound.
