The Pugilist V2 is a distortion pedal that breaks the rules by packing two independent distortion circuits into one chassis. With separate footswitches and full control sets for each engine, you get two distinctively voiced distortion characters ready to blend, stack, or clash in ways single-circuit pedals simply can't match.
Two Distortion Voices in One Pedal
Engine A delivers treble-rich, articulate lead drive tones perfect for cutting through a mix. Engine B lays on thick, heavy distortion for crushing rhythm work and deep saturation. Control each independently with dedicated Gain, Tone, and Level knobs—activate them together or separately to unlock infinite tone-stacking possibilities.
Path Switch: Series or Parallel
This is where Pugilist V2 becomes a secret weapon. The Path switch routes your two distortion engines through three different signal configurations:
- Series Mode 1 & 2: Stack the circuits like cascading amp channels. Feed one distortion into the other for layered drive tones that build intensity and harmonic complexity with each footswitch activation.
- Parallel Mode: Run both engines side by side and blend them using the level controls. Create the perfect fusion of articulate and chunky distortion—ideal for players who want cohesion without obvious stacking.
Global Tone Shaping
Bass Boost and Mid Cut switches provide additional EQ sculpting across both circuits, letting you glue your final distortion tone together. Whether you're dialling in surgical precision or sculpting walls of gain, these tools keep your tone balanced and musical.
