The Orange Dark Terror is a 15-watt Class A all-valve guitar amp head that takes the classic Tiny Terror lunchbox formula somewhere heavier. Four gain stages, a valve-driven effects loop and the intuitive Shape control make it a small amp with a very big, very dark sound.
Key features
- Class A valve circuitry: 3 x 12AX7 preamp valves and 2 x EL84 power valves for a rich, responsive feel.
- Four stages of gain: the highest-gain Terror, with plenty in hand for modern rock and metal. Roll the gain back and it also delivers clean, crunch and blues tones.
- Shape control: one knob adjusts the midrange voicing against bass and treble.
- Switchable power: choose 15 or 7 watts to suit the room, the recording or the gig.
- Valve-driven effects loop: runs on a 12AT7 for a smooth, musical feel.
- Portable: around 7kg in a rugged black chassis.
