This sleek, slim-bodied, dual-cutaway design just screams rock and roll, and at first glance you'll get an overwhelming urge to pick it up and play it.
With the Gibson SG Standard Tribute you get a guitar that helps to capture everything that has made the guitar so popular over the decades. Featuring a solid Mahogany body, slim-tapered Maple neck, Rosewood fretboard, and a pair of 490 humbuckers, this guitar is not only affordable, it's ready to rock right out of the box!
Featuring the same tonal characteristics of those legendary Gibson PAF humbuckers, but have been modified to include a slight increase in upper mid-range response, and with wax potting to minimalise microphonic feedback.
These pickups are ideal for vintage blues, blues-rock, hard rock, heavy rock, rock rock, and more, and once heard are easy to fall in love with.
Originally designed by Ted McCarty in the early 1950s, the Tune-O-Matic (TOM) bridge quickly became a standard on Gibson guitars. Specially made to offer the maximum amount of transferrence between the guitar's strings and body, whilst offering pin-point intonation and superior tuning stability.
